We enjoyed a family breakfast and dinner for my birthday! Raul has been pretty uncomfortable the past few days with all the antibiotics he is taking, so his belly was bothering him tonight at dinner.

More Pool
Raul wasn't feeling too well this morning. We went out to do a few errands and saw a vintage car museum, so we decided to go in. We thought Raul would love it, but he was pretty out of it. When we got home he took an early nap. His nap ended up being about four hours, but he seemed to be feeling a bit getter after. Then he and my mom took a little swim next door. Raul mostly wanted to play on the step today, and had fun dumping buckets of water on himself. After his bandage change we went down to the dock to look for boats, but didn't see any. We head home tomorrow.

Raul and the Pool
Today Raul went in the pool, and he LOVED it! He spent about an hour in the water. He was a little nervous at first, but then was happy and loved splashing and being pushed around in his raft. He laughed when being spun around and when we did big splashes. He also fell in love with a small plastic boat and would get upset if he couldn't reach it. Towards the end he was sitting on the step and he stuck his face in the water like he was blowing bubbles! He looked a bit shocked, but then did it multiple more times! Then we had to change all his bandages back at the house since he was soaked. He took a long nap after such a busy morning!

The Beach
This afternoon we went down to the beach behind the house for a bit. Raul has only been to the beach once before, and just for a couple minutes. He liked it, and even smashed sand castles, threw shells, and scooted around! At one point he saw a dog down the beach and tried to scoot to it. He scooted fairly far down the beach and only looked back a few times to check on us. He was rewarded in the end and got to pet the dog! He really likes hanging out in the kayak below the house, too. My dad drew trucks and cars on his sandy bandages, and Raul was happy while he was doing it, but then tried to wipe them off. Later he was looking for them though when I put on his pajama pants, and rolled his pants up to see them.
